Job summary

NMC GROUP SERVICES. invites applications for a Driver Cum Messenger to transport staff to clinics and support laboratory logistics. You will ensure timely, safe pickups, maintain vehicle readiness, and handle deliveries with accuracy.

The role includes collecting and delivering lab-related items and coordinating with facilities for route changes. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and at least 2 years of professional driving experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in a similar role or industry.
• Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations, especially in urban environments.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations within the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Transport staff to clinics on time and safely.
• Maintain staff pick-up lists and obtain manager approval for new pickups.
• Conduct daily safety and operational inspections of the vehicle.
• Arrive at pick-up points 5 minutes early and do not wait beyond 5 minutes.
• Keep routes consistent; changes to routes to be communicated by facilities manager.
• Deliver documents, passports, uniforms, parcels, and forms to clinics and corporate office.
• Ensure deliveries are signed for and received by the correct recipient.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good working order; perform routine maintenance.
• Notify responsible persons of delays in schedule.
• Assist with other routes during breakdowns or unusual circumstances.
• Support Laboratory by collecting blood sample boxes and delivering to the lab.
• Handle blood sample boxes with care to avoid shaking.

Education

Job description

• Transportation of staff to clinic timely and safely.

• Ensure you have the list of staff to pick and drop and any new staff pick up has to be with the approval of your manager.

• Conducts established safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily.

• It is the responsibility of the staff to reach the pick-up point 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time and ensure you will not wait more than 5 minutes for any staff.

• Company van route should not be changed for any staff.

• In case of any location change of any staff, it will be informed by facilities manager.

• Deliver important documents, Passports, Uniforms, parcels, claim form, to respective clinics and corporate office.

• Ensure deliveries have been signed and delivered to the correct recipient.

• Ensure vehicle is kept clean, tidy and in good working condition always.

• Ensure vehicle is given regular/day-to-day maintenance checks, oil change, water, battery, brakes and tyres etc.

• Ensure safe driving practises and high standards of service to employees.

• Maintains current required licenses and certificates.

• Notifies appropriate individuals of any delays in scheduled route.

• Assists with other routes when breakdown or other unusual circumstances occur as assigned.

As part of your job as a Driver Cum Messenger you are assigned to support Laboratory by doing the following:

• Collect the blood sample box from the medical centers along with the register book.

• Diligently bring it to the laboratory and hand it over to the office boy who will collect it from you.

• Ensure you drive safer so that the sample box does not shake and is in a good condition while collecting it from each center.

• The above should be done on all day as per the timings assigned to you.

• Weekly once you must collect all the lab requirement from the Clinic General Store and deliver it at the clinic.

Desired Candidate Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a valid driver's license relevant to the vehicle type.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in a similar role or industry.
