Job summary

NMC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated Driver Cum Messenger to transport staff safely between clinics and the corporate office. You will perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and ensure timely pickups while keeping routes unchanged unless approved.

You will also collect and deliver documents, passports, uniforms, and lab samples, supporting the Laboratory by handling lab supplies and ensuring proper handoffs. A valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport staff to clinic timely and safely.
• Ensure you have the list of staff to pick and drop and any new staff pick up has to be with the approval of your manager.
• Conducts established safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily.
• It is the responsibility of the staff to reach the pick-up point 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time and ensure you will not wait more than 5 minutes for any staff.
• Company van route should not be changed for any staff.
• In case of any location change of any staff, it will be informed by facilities manager.
• Deliver important documents, Passports, Uniforms, parcels, claim form, to respective clinics and corporate office.
• Ensure deliveries have been signed and delivered to the correct recipient.
• Ensure vehicle is kept clean, tidy and in good working condition always.
• Ensure vehicle is given regular/day-to-day maintenance checks, oil change, water, battery, brakes and tyres etc.
• Ensure safe driving practises and high standards of service to employees.
• Maintains current required licenses and certificates.
• Notifies appropriate individuals of any delays in scheduled route.
• Assists with other routes when breakdown or other unusual circumstances occur as assigned.
• As part of your job as a Driver Cum Messenger you are assigned to support Laboratory by doing the following:
• Collect the blood sample box from the medical centers along with the register book.
• Diligently bring it to the laboratory and hand it over to the office boy who will collect it from you.
• Ensure you drive safer so that the sample box does not shake and is in a good condition while collecting it from each center.
• The above should be done on all day as per the timings assigned to you.
• Weekly once you must collect all the lab requirement from the Clinic General Store and deliver it at the clinic.
