Job summary

NMC Healthcare in Dubai seeks a reliable Driver Cum Messenger to transport staff to clinics and offices safely and on time. You will conduct daily vehicle inspections, keep the vehicle clean, maintain records, and assist with lab sample transport as needed.

Applicants should hold a valid UAE driving license, be punctual, and communicate effectively with facilities and clinic staff. The role requires adherence to safety standards and prompt reporting of delays.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid UAE driving license.
• Safe driving and timely staff transport.
• Good record of vehicle maintenance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Transportation of staff to clinic timely and safely.
• Ensure you have the list of staff to pick and drop and any new staff pick up has to be with the approval of your manager.
• Conducts established safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily.
• It is the responsibility of the staff to reach the pick-up point 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time and ensure you will not wait more than 5 minutes for any staff.
• Company van route should not be changed for any staff.
• In case of any location change of any staff, it will be informed by facilities manager.
• Deliver important documents, Passports, Uniforms, parcels, claim form, to respective clinics and corporate office.
• Ensure deliveries have been signed and delivered to the correct recipient.
• Ensure vehicle is kept clean, tidy and in good working condition always.
• Ensure vehicle is given regular/day-to-day maintenance checks, oil change, water, battery, brakes and tyres etc.
• Ensure safe driving practises and high standards of service to employees.
• Maintains current required licenses and certificates.
• Notifies appropriate individuals of any delays in scheduled route.
• Assists with other routes when breakdown or other unusual circumstances occur as assigned.
• As part of your job as a Driver Cum Messenger you are assigned to support Laboratory by doing the following:
• Collect the blood sample box from the medical centers along with the register book.
• Diligently bring it to the laboratory and hand it over to the office boy who will collect it from you.
• Ensure you drive safer so that the sample box does not shake and is in a good condition while collecting it from each center.
• The above should be done on all day as per the timings assigned to you.
• Weekly once you must collect all the lab requirement from the Clinic General Store and deliver it at the clinic.
