Job summary

ADNOC Drilling Company seeks a senior Drilling Engineer to lead complex campaigns and manage Lump Sum Turnkey scope from planning through execution. You will guide Integrated Project Management teams with service partners to meet schedules and cost goals on Biogenic Shallow Gas drilling programs.

Role requires 8+ years in drilling/ Workover, offshore and office experience, and proficiency with advanced drilling technologies and Landmark software. UAE OPCOs experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum /Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years related experience in Drilling / Workover Engineering and Operations.
• Experience with OPCOs, preferred in UAE.
• Experience offshore and from office drilling activities.
• Experience in Drilling new technologies (UBD, MPD,CTD , and ERD).
• Professional user of drilling software; Landmark package is preferred.
• Experience in business planning (Wells and Drilling Operations).
• Proven track of leading drilling teams either operations or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Set and manage Lump sum turnkey campaign Scope of Work with all related activities and manage unconventional drilling and testing activities (UBD, MLT, and multi stage frac.)
• Lead and direct the Drilling Integrated Project Management teams of the assigned service companies to execute ADNOC Exploration Biogenic Gas wells in line with the plans.
• Endorse and approve the Drilling programs, well plans provided by the LSTK/IPM teams and endorse and approve the AFE for the subjected wells.
• Define the Full Field Development Plans and the exploration requirements through working closely with the Petroleum Engineers, Reservoir Engineers and Petrophysicists.
• Advises as necessary the Exploration Function in all drilling related matters in terms of planning, well prognosis and technical requirements.
• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective business objectives.
• Provide input for preparation of the Function / Division / Department / Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver business objectives.
