Job summary

Al Marfaa Road Contracting is seeking a Civil CAD Draughtsman specializing in roads drainage to translate design concepts and survey data into precise construction drawings and submission packages in line with local standards.

You will work with senior civil engineers to ensure high-quality CAD outputs, manage sheet sets and xrefs, and prepare complete submittal packages for approvals.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent certification in civil engineering drafting.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills (required) with strong Civil 3D knowledge for alignments, surfaces and pipe networks.
• 3–5 years of civil infrastructure drafting experience, focusing on road alignments and stormwater drainage.

Responsibilities

• Draft horizontal and vertical alignments, plan/profile drawings, and road cross-sections for highways, urban roads, and access routes.
• Prepare layouts for junctions, roundabouts, pavements, kerbs, road markings, and traffic signage.
• Generate earthwork profiles, cut/fill, and assist in basic quantity take-offs.
• Create plan/profile layouts for stormwater drainage and culvert networks.
• Produce detailed drainage drawings including manholes, catch basins, headwalls, and soakaways.
• Conduct utility clash detection with other underground services.

Civil CAD Draughtsman Roads Drainage

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented civil CAD Draughtsman specializing in roads drainage infrastructure projects. In this role you will work closely with senior civil engineers to convert design concepts, markups, and survey data into precise high-quality technical construction drawings and submission packages compliant with local authority standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft horizontal vertical alignments plan profile drawings and road cross-sections for highways urban roads and access routes
• Prepare detailed layouts for junctions roundabouts pavement structures kerbs road markings and traffic signage
• Generate earthwork profiles cutting and filling and assist in basic quantity take-offs
• Create detailed plan and profile layouts for stormwater surface drainage and culvert networks
• Draft structural detail drawings for drainage features including manholes catch basins headwalls and soakaways
• Conduct basic utility clash detection between drainage networks and other underground services water gas electrical telecom
• Ensure all technical drawings comply with relevant municipal codes authority standards and CAD layering protocols
• Process site survey data GPS points topographical maps into workable CAD base files
• Manage Xrefs sheet sets drawing revisions and redline markups efficiently
• Prepare complete drawing submittal packages for clients consultants and municipal approvals
• Produce accurate As-Built drawings upon project completion based on site markup changes

Key Requirements

• Diploma Degree in Civil Engineering Drafting Technology or equivalent certification
• Advanced command of AutoCAD (Required). Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D for alignments, surfaces, and pipe networks (Highly Desirable)
• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in civil infrastructure drafting, specifically focusing on road alignments and stormwater drainage systems
• Familiarity with local infrastructure drafting standards symbols scales and municipal submission guidelines
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight project deadlines collaboratively
