Job summary

EMANCO CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTING LLC is seeking an AutoCAD Draughtsman to support structural steel drawings and site coordination in UAE projects. You will prepare 2D/3D drawings, review drawings, and liaise with site engineers, fabricators and project managers to ensure accurate, buildable submissions.

The role requires strong AutoCAD skills, GCC site experience, and the ability to update drawings for changes, RFIs, and as-built records while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in AutoCAD drafting for structural steel projects.
• UAE/GCC site experience preferred.
• Diploma or degree in civil/ mechanical engineering or related field.
• Advanced AutoCAD 2D/3D skills with shop/fabrication drawings.
• Ability to read structural/architectural drawings and coordinate with teams.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for structural steel works including shop drawings fabrication drawings erection drawings and General Arrangement GA drawings.
• Develop detailed drawings for columns beams trusses bracing stairs platforms handrails and steel connections.
• Review structural architectural and engineering drawings and coordinate with Site Engineers Structural Engineers Fabrication Teams and Project Managers.
• Conduct site visits and field measurements to verify dimensions levels openings alignments and existing site conditions.
• Prepare and update drawings based on actual site conditions design changes RFIs and site instructions.
• Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies clashes dimensional conflicts and constructability issues.
• In coordination with the site and engineering teams Prepare as-built drawings reflecting the final installed steel structure and site modifications.
• Coordinate with the fabrication workshop to ensure drawings are suitable for fabrication cutting welding and assembly.
• Assist in preparing material take-offs cutting lists BOQ quantities and steel material requirements.
• Ensure all drawings include correct dimensions sections elevations connection details welding symbols bolt details and material specifications.
• Maintain proper control of drawing revisions records and document submissions.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors regarding drawing comments revisions approvals and technical requirements.
• Ensure all drawings are prepared in accordance with approved structural designs project specifications and applicable UAE construction requirements.
• Provide immediate drafting support to the site team for erection-related issues and modifications.
• Monitor drawing requirements according to the site construction schedule and project priorities.
• Support the engineering team in preparing technical submissions method-related drawings and project documentation.
• Perform other drafting and site-related duties assigned by the Project Manager or Senior Engineer.

Requirements

• Male candidate, physically available in the UAE and ready to join.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience as an AutoCAD Draughtsman, preferably in structural steel, steel fabrication, or construction projects.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE/GCC site experience is preferred.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Drafting, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & 3D with strong knowledge of technical and construction drawings.
• Practical experience in preparing shop drawings, fabrication drawings, erection drawings, GA drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel members, connections, sections, elevations, bolts, welding symbols, and fabrication details.
• Experience in site measurements, site coordination, and updating drawings according to actual site conditions.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Tekla Structures, SolidWorks, or other structural detailing software will be an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of material take-offs, cutting lists, BOQ, and steel quantities.
• Strong ability to identify and resolve drawing discrepancies, clashes, and site-related technical issues.
• Good communication and coordination skills with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, Fabricators, Consultants, and Contractors.
• Able to work independently under site conditions and project deadlines.
