Job summary

Confidential in Dubai is seeking an experienced Architectural Draughtsman to prepare detailed drawings and coordinate with multiple disciplines on construction projects. You will develop and revise shop, working, and as-built drawings based on designs, site conditions, and consultant/client feedback.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of relevant experience in architecture/drafting, strong AutoCAD skills, and familiarity with UAE standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years total relevant experience as an Architectural Draughtsman.
• 2–4 years UAE experience in a construction/contracting company.
• Strong experience in building construction and architectural detailing.
• Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Practical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and architectural details.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, layouts, and construction details.
• Prepare shop drawings, working drawings, and as-built drawings for construction projects.
• Develop drawings based on architectural designs, specifications, site requirements, and consultant/client comments.
• Modify and revise drawings according to project requirements and site conditions.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, and other discipline drawings.
• Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, levels, annotations, and construction details.
• Conduct site visits when required to verify dimensions, existing conditions, and construction progress.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on actual site conditions and approved changes.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors.
• Incorporate consultant/client comments and ensure timely submission of revised drawings.
• Maintain proper drawing registers, revisions, and document-control records.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable UAE regulations, authority requirements, project specifications, and company standards.
• Assist the project/site team with technical drawing clarifications during construction.
• Support preparation of drawings required for authority submissions and project approvals.
• Ensure all drawings are completed accurately and within project deadlines.

Requirements

Preferred Skills

• Experience with residential, commercial, villa, or building construction projects.
• Knowledge of Dubai Municipality / DDA / Trakhees or other UAE authority requirements.
• Working knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or other architectural software.
• Experience in site coordination and preparing as-built drawings.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: AED 4,000 – 6,000 per month, depending on experience and technical skills.
