Job summary

Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) is seeking an experienced Engineering Draftsman to support the Engineering Department with preparing, updating, and controlling technical drawings across assets.

The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in Engineering Drafting or CAD, and at least 5 years of drafting experience, preferably in oil & gas or related fields. Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent software is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, controlled copies, and engineering documentation.
• Ensure drawings meet technical, quality, document-control, and HSSE requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Projects, vendors, and Document Control teams.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Draftsman to support SNOC’s Engineering Department by preparing, updating, and controlling technical drawings across operational assets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and revising engineering drawings, including P&IDs, PFDs, layouts, piping drawings, isometrics, electrical diagrams, and instrument drawings.
• Updating drawings following approved modifications, site mark-ups, project requirements, and Management of Change (MOC) activities.
• Maintaining drawing registers, revision records, controlled copies, and engineering documentation.
• Ensuring drawings meet technical, quality, document-control, and HSSE requirements.
• Coordinating with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Projects, vendors, and Document Control teams.

Requirements:

• Diploma or certificate in Engineering Drafting, CAD, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant drafting experience, preferably within oil and gas, energy, EPC, industrial, or plant operations.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, revision control, document management systems, and MOC processes.
• High attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
