Job summary

GHD in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Documentation Technician to join our engineering team. You will produce drawings with CAD, maintain drawing registers, and support project delivery with accurate documentation.

You will collaborate with design engineers and project managers, ensure quality records, and help streamline document control processes. The role requires detail orientation and the ability to work both independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design & Drafting: Produce drawings using CAD software ensuring alignment with design features.
• Documentation Control: Maintain drawing registers, deliverables, and quality records; issue transmittals.
• Process Improvement: Suggest enhancements to procedures and standards to improve efficiency.
• Project Support: Assist in project coordination including presentations, approvals and tracking deliverables.
• Software Maintenance: Monitor and report software defects contributing to stability.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct tests to verify specifications and reject nonconforming materials.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Documentation Technician to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for someone passionate about design documentation CAD tools and contributing to high-quality engineering deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Drafting: Produce basic pattern designs and detailed drawings using CAD software ensuring alignment with design features and product style
• Documentation Control: Maintain up-to-date drawing registers deliverables and quality records. Issue transmittals and manage document flow across teams and contractors
• Process Improvement: Suggest enhancements to existing procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Project Support: Assist in project coordination including presentations approvals and tracking deliverables
• Software Maintenance: Monitor and report software defects contributing to application stability
• Quality Assurance: Conduct complex tests to verify specifications and reject nonconforming materials

Skills & Experience
