Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates is seeking a Document Controller (Steel Industry) to manage all aspects of asset documentation within SAP. You will collect, verify, upload, and link documentation across seven types, liaising with the Reliability, Operations, and Maintenance teams to ensure accuracy and traceability.

The role requires strong Excel and SAP skills, excellent English communication, and 5 years of document control experience, preferably in steel and Middle East

Qualifications

• Ability to review documentation with great attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong IT skills especially Excel & SAP.
• Very good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• To find the location of documentation associated with assets identified by the Reliability Team and liaise with Operations and Maintenance for documentation (drawings, manuals, spare parts) either on FTP or SAP.
• Review the documentation against the asset codes.
• Verification of documentation with End Users.
• Uploading of documentation into SAP, assigning the unique SAP document number.

About the job Document Controller (Steel Industry)

Must have Steel Industry experience

To manage all aspects of asset documentation (7 types), collection, verification, uploading and linking into SAP.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities (attributes) required

• Ability to review documentation (drawings, manuals, spare parts etc.) with great attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong I.T. skills especially Excel & SAP
• Very good written and spoken English

Preferred professional training (Nice to have)

• Certificate / Diploma or equivalent
• Office suite of Software
• SAP

Experience Recommended (Nice to have)

• 5 Years document control experience
• Experience in the steel industry
• Experience with asset documentation
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Key Accountabilities)

• To find the location of documentation associated with assets identified by the Reliability Team. Liaise with the Operations and Maintenance teams as necessary for the documentation (drawings, manuals, spare parts etc.), either on the FTP or through SAP
• Review the documentation against the asset codes
• Verification of documentation with the End Users
• Uploading of documentation into SAP, assigning the unique SAP document number etc.
• Linking of documentation with the correct asset tags/SAP code
• Updating the master spreadsheet
• To carry out any other related work as assigned by the SENIOR DOCUMENT CONTROLLER - Design Engineering
