Job summary

Black & Grey HR Consultancy FZE, partnering with a leading UAE contracting company, seeks a DLP Engineer – Civil to manage post-handover defect resolution and coordinate corrective works. The role requires 5–7 years in civil construction, DLP operations, and QA/QC with strong reporting and documentation skills.

The candidate will inspect sites, coordinate with contractors and clients, and ensure workmanship meets quality and safety standards while maintaining defect registers and closure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in civil construction, DLP operations, building maintenance or facility management.
• Good knowledge of building construction, waterproofing, finishing works, structural repairs, QA/QC procedures and construction drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, communication, planning and documentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with focus on quality and timely defect closure.

Responsibilities

• Handle civil defects and maintenance concerns identified during the Defects Liability Period.
• Perform site inspections, evaluate reported issues and determine corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and internal teams to complete rectification works.
• Monitor ongoing repairs and ensure workmanship meets quality and safety standards.
• Manage civil issues related to waterproofing, finishes, structural repairs and general building works.
• Maintain defect registers, inspection records, progress updates and closure documentation; coordinate with clients and property managers.
• Inspect completed corrective works and secure approvals for final closure.
• Prepare periodic reports covering open, ongoing and completed DLP items.
• Identify repeated defects and propose preventive solutions.

Black & Grey HR is partnering with a leading contracting company in the UAE to recruit a skilled DLP Engineer – Civil to manage post-handover civil works and defect resolution. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in civil construction, inspections, corrective works, and coordination of DLP activities, ensuring defects are resolved efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle civil defects and maintenance concerns identified during the Defects Liability Period.
• Perform site inspections, evaluate reported issues, and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to complete rectification works.
