Position Overview

The Director will originate, structure, and deliver tailored structured products and client solutions across relevant asset classes, supporting revenue growth, strategic client engagement, and the continued development of the Global Markets franchise.

Structured Product Origination
- Lead market, client, and product analysis to identify structured product opportunities and assess client requirements.
- Evaluate risk-return dynamics and translate suitable market opportunities into executable transactions.
- Originate and structure bespoke products and client solutions in partnership with Trading, Sales, Coverage, and relevant control functions.
- Develop solutions including equity-linked financing, structured notes, repo financing, derivatives-based solutions, and other products within approved capabilities.
- Prepare and present market views, trade ideas, pricing considerations, and structured solution proposals.
- Provide structuring alternatives based on client objectives, market conditions, risk parameters, and available product capabilities.
Client Solutions and Franchise Development
The Director will develop senior client relationships by building a detailed understanding of client objectives, risk appetite, market views, and investment or hedging requirements.
- Act as a senior product specialist and trusted advisor to clients, Sales, and Coverage teams.
- Provide technical product expertise, market insight, pricing analysis, and structuring guidance.
- Identify opportunities for client penetration, cross-selling, and increased wallet share.
- Align proposed transactions with FAB 's strategic priorities, product capabilities, and risk appetite.
- Maintain high standards of client engagement throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Transaction Execution
- Manage the structured products pipeline and prioritize opportunities based on business and execution requirements.
- Monitor deal progress and coordinate execution across relevant teams.
- Oversee transaction documentation, internal approvals, execution readiness, and post-trade coordination.
- Escalate pricing, execution, documentation, or operational issues in a timely manner.
- Work closely with Trading, Sales, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Coverage teams to support accurate transaction delivery.
Risk, Governance and Regulatory Controls
- Ensure client onboarding, KYC, suitability, compliance, and regulatory requirements are completed in accordance with Bank policies.
- Maintain adherence to product governance standards and market conduct requirements.
- Ensure activities follow applicable operational procedures and approved policies.
- Apply sound understanding of collateral management, documentation, compliance, and operational risk requirements.
- Assess risk-return trade-offs when developing and executing client transactions.
- Maintain appropriate control standards while managing live market activity.
Platform and Process Development
The Director will collaborate with Trading, Quant, Technology, and Operations teams to strengthen the Structured Products and Client Solutions platform. This includes identifying opportunities to enhance pricing tools, collateral monitoring, workflow efficiency, automation, and reporting capabilities. The role will also contribute to improvements that support more efficient execution and continued development of the structured products franchise.
Management Information and Reporting
- Maintain accurate reporting on transaction pipelines and deal activity.
- Monitor and report relevant revenue, risk, collateral, and client activity information.
- Provide management information that supports business monitoring and decision-making.
- Maintain visibility over active opportunities and execution progress.
Qualifications and Experience
- UAE National with a valid family book.
- Bachelor 's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Global Markets, structured products, structuring, trading, sales, treasury, or client solutions.
- Demonstrated experience originating, structuring, and executing client transactions.
- Strong knowledge of Global Markets products, structured products, derivatives, financing solutions, and risk management concepts.
- Understanding of FAB 's business strategy.
- Ability to assess risk-return trade-offs and convert market opportunities into executable client solutions.
- Advanced analytical, financial modelling, pricing, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong client engagement, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency with relevant banking, trading, market data, and risk systems, including Bloomberg, Murex, or other applicable platforms.
- Sound understanding of collateral management, transaction documentation, product governance, compliance, and operational risk.
- Ability to manage multiple live transactions and priorities under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Collaborative leadership capability, including the ability to coach junior colleagues and contribute to a controlled, client-focused team environment.
