Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Dubai seeks a Director of Infrastructure for Power & Utilities to lead major workstreams, structure complex problems, and deliver integrated client solutions across generation, transmission, water and data center assets.

You will build business cases, senior stakeholder engagement, and practical actions, mentoring teams while driving execution in a fast-paced consulting environment in the Middle East and Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Power & Utilities, infrastructure, energy or water, with MEA exposure.
• Depth in at least one core P&U area with breadth across the utility value chain.
• Experience in consulting, advisory, utility or developer, EPC and capital projects.
• Leading multidisciplinary teams and turning analysis into practical client actions.
• Commercial awareness and growing business development capability including proposals and client relationships.
• Arabic language capability is a plus; willingness to travel across MEA.
• Credibility with technical, operational, financial and executive stakeholders; ability to bridge gaps.
• Hands-on style; able to work with client teams through implementation.
• Clear, concise writing and communication; turn complex P&U issues into actionable decisions.
• Entrepreneurial, collaborative and demanding consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Run the day-to-day delivery of major workstreams or smaller engagements as senior client counterpart.
• Structure ambiguous problems, set analytical path and lead team to a clear answer.
• Lead asset and portfolio work across generation, transmission, distribution and renewables.
• Build robust fact bases, business cases, benchmarks and implementation plans.
• Turn findings into action with governance, PMO, or control-tower disciplines.
• Lead meetings and produce concise materials for decisions and next actions.
• Shap e proposals and contribute to account plans and pursuits.
• Coordinate with internal specialists to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Own project quality, scope, schedule, team performance and engagement economics.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or Economics

Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field

MBA or equivalent postgraduate business qualification
