The hotel is located in Deira in the heart of Dubai and within easy reach of major tourist landmarks, leisure destinations and city services. It is linked to the Al Ghurair Shopping Centre, only 3 stops away on the Dubai Metro from the Dubai World Trade Centre and a 10 minute drive from Dubai International Airport.

Director of Sales

The Director of Sales role will involve setting sales strategies, managing sales teams, and driving revenue growth. The Director of Sales is crucial for achieving sales targets, developing sales plans, and building relationships with clients.

Overview

The Director of Sales sets sales strategies, manages a sales team, and drives revenue growth to achieve targets, develop sales plans, and build relationships with clients.

Responsibilities
  • Implements all sales action plans related to market areas as outlined in the marketing plan, accomplish set targets.
  • Conducts daily sales calls and arrange familiarization / site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients.
  • Establishes programs and directs efforts to achieve Corporate, Long Stay, MICE room nights goals based on market segmentation and budget and to develop ongoing relationships with clients.
  • Monitors own and team sales production and adjusts sales activities, account coverage and sales priorities as necessary to achieve planned goals.
  • Establishes account qualifications criteria and uses market research to identify priority markets and accounts; assigns sales to assure coverage of all major markets.
  • Monitors weekly activity of sales managers and ensures the sales team maximizes use of resources to penetrate new accounts and secure old accounts.
  • Develops the annual sales department budget and executes the sales programs and activities within it.
  • Trains and motivates the Sales team to achieve sales goals.
Qualifications
  • Hospitality Experience in the Dubai Market is a requirement.
  • Knowledge and network of the Deira Market would be an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges.
  • Business degree, or any relevant qualification, would be advantageous.
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative.
