Job summary

Abu Dhabi Ports is seeking a Director to lead the Project Management function and drive the delivery of strategic initiatives. You will oversee complex projects, establish governance, and manage cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.

The role requires extensive PMO governance, risk management, and resource planning experience, with senior stakeholder engagement and executive reporting capabilities. English proficiency is essential, with Arabic an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.
• Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
• Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or a related field is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in English; Arabic is an added advantage.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant project management experience, including complex projects.
• Proven senior project leadership or PMO experience.
• Experience in PMO governance, risk management, and resource planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Management function, establishing governance and controls for the project portfolio.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of strategic and operational projects.
• Develop project portfolios, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Enhance PMO standards, methodologies, and reporting mechanisms.
• Provide executive-level reporting on project performance, risks, dependencies, and budget status.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholder engagement.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and scope changes.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, financial, and operational requirements.
• Drive resource allocation and prioritization across projects.
• Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned and performance analysis.
