Job summary

Saab is hiring a Head of PMO in Abu Dhabi to lead the Project Management Office and drive successful project execution from concept to industrialization. You will partner with line and product managers to ensure alignment with time, cost and quality targets, while overseeing contracts and bid management.

The role requires proven PMO leadership, experience in hightech or defense settings, and strong English communication. A MSc or equivalent and security vetting per ISO 27001 are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven PMO and Project Management Expertise: Demonstrable experience in project/program management bid management contract execution and business operations preferably in a hightech or defense industry setting.
• Product Development Insight: Background in product development or managing delivery and/or support contracts ideally within a technologically advanced environment.
• Academic and Professional Excellence: A relevant MSc or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Leadership Acumen: A track record of people management and the ability to inspire and lead a diverse multicultural team.
• Strong Communication Skills: Fluent in English both oral and written with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Innovative and ResultsDriven: A proactive goaloriented approach with a high level of integrity and selfawareness.
• Bonus: Knowledge of radar development is highly meritorious.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide the PMO to drive project execution from concept through design, development and industrialization.
• Strategic Oversight: Align projects with functional economic time and quality objectives.
• Operational Excellence: Manage development, delivery and support contracts and oversee bid management processes.
• Portfolio Execution: Ensure projects are executed in full compliance with contract terms across the portfolio with high standards.
• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and line-manage a dynamic multicultural team.
• Change Champion: Implement innovative strategies to overcome challenges and propel sustained growth.
