Job summary

Agile Consultants in the UAE seeks an experienced Engineering Design Director to lead solution engineering, product specialization, lighting and systems design, technical documentation, and estimation across the region.

The role provides technical governance connecting Pre-Sales, quotation, order conversion, product creation, sourcing, and handover, ensuring high design quality, compliance, and customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Lighting Technology, Automation, Control Systems, or a closely related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in engineering, technical solutions, product management, or engineered project delivery.
• Excellent professional English (Arabic preferred).
• Willingness to travel within the UAE and to Saudi Arabia, export markets, customer/project sites, supplier/manufacturing locations, and regional offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete Engineering & Solutions organization and ensure consistent technical standards and resource deployment across regions.
• Govern standard and bespoke solution development, design, estimation, documentation, and handover.
• Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain & Pricing, Finance, and regional teams to support quotation and delivery.
• Develop department strategy aligned with company objectives and CEO direction.
• Ensure design output is technically correct, constructible, and aligned with project stages.
