Job summary

Fujairah Aviation Academy is seeking an operational executive to oversee multi-unit operations and strategic execution within its core business units. This role requires a UAE National with a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 7 years of senior management experience in a related field.

Job description

Job Purpose

To serve as the operational executive driving the integration, growth, and daily execution across all core business units—including the ATO (Approved Training Organization), MTO (Maintenance Training Organization), MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), and central administrative functions. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position leads cross-functional operations, drives institutional performance, and reinforces leadership in line with national aviation and Emiratisation goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Overall Operational Leadership

Oversee the daily execution and cross-departmental coordination of all core business units and operational divisions.

Monitor operational workflows, academic schedules, and service delivery timelines to maximize organizational efficiency and resource utilization.

Direct central administrative and support functions, including student administration, campus facilities, infrastructure, customer support, and business operations.

2. Strategic Execution & Performance Oversight

Translate executive strategy and General Manager directives into actionable operational plans and measurable performance targets across all departments.

Establish, track, and analyze organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Serve as the primary escalation point for resolving operational bottlenecks, resource allocation challenges, and inter-departmental priorities.

3. Governance, SOPs & Quality Compliance

Ensure all operational departments maintain full adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety standards, and applicable regulatory frameworks.

Oversee the implementation of internal audit findings, quality corrective actions, and policy updates across all operational units.

Drive process optimization and digital workflow improvements across administrative and technical support departments.

4. Team Leadership & Talent Management

Provide direct leadership, guidance, and performance management to operational department heads and managers.

Foster a collaborative, high-performance work culture aligned with institutional goals and values.

Job Requirements

• Strictly UAE National with valid Family Book.
• Maximum 45 years old.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s Degree or MBA preferred).
• Proven track record of senior management experience (typically 7–10+ years) leading multi-unit operations, cross-functional teams, and complex administrative or technical workflows.
• High-energy operational leader with a demonstrated ability to enforce accountability, streamline organizational processes, and support executive leadership effectively.
