Detailed Key Responsibilities
1. Flight Instructor Management & Standardization
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the flight instructor team to maintain uniform instructional quality and alignment with syllabus goals.
- Conduct standardization flights, checks, and periodic peer evaluations for flight instructors across single-engine, multi-engine, and instrument disciplines.
- Monitor instructor duty time, flying hours, and rating revalidations to ensure full regulatory compliance and workload balance.
2. Flight Training Operations & Briefings
- Conduct flight instruction in strict compliance with the approved syllabus.
- Deliver pre-flight briefings and post-flight debriefings focused on practical airmanship, flight preparation, and Threat and Error Management (TEM).
- Oversee training delivery to ensure flight instructors execute briefing and flight standards consistently.
3. Examiner Duties & Skill Assessments
- Conduct official skill tests, proficiency checks, and revalidation assessments as an authorized Flight Examiner across single-engine, multi-engine, and instrument disciplines.
- Evaluate candidates and instructional staff objectively against GCAA practical test standards.
- Authorize test endorsements, audit examination documentation, and provide actionable feedback to candidates and instructors.
4. Student Progress & Training Oversight
- Track student flight progression across departments, identifying performance trends and designing targeted remedial training programs.
- Perform regular audits on student training files, instructor logbook endorsements, and flight management system records for accuracy.
- Issue final authorizations for solos, cross-country flights, and check rides upon verification of prerequisite completion.
5. Safety Management & Operational Compliance
- Lead safety culture initiatives across the flight line by ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety management systems (SMS).
- Evaluate flight dispatch safety, weather conditions, and aircraft airworthiness, maintaining ultimate operational authority over flight line decisions.
- Coordinate with maintenance, flight dispatch, and other departments to optimize fleet utilization and operational safety.
Job Requirements
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of active CFI experience.
- Flight Time: At least 4,000 hours of instructional flight time.
- Pilot License: Valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) - Aeroplane.

- Aircraft Ratings: Single-Engine Piston (SEP) & Multi-Engine Piston (MEP)
