Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island seeks a Director - Gaming Compliance to lead the Gaming Compliance team in the UAE. The role oversees AML/CFT obligations, MLRO responsibilities, SAR/SAIR processes, and regulatory liaison to ensure robust governance and risk mitigation.

Ideal candidate has extensive AML/CFT and gaming compliance experience, UAE regulatory knowledge, and leadership capabilities to drive QA and reporting across the compliance program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in AML/CFT compliance, gaming compliance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior management or director role.
• Knowledge of UAE AML/CFT framework and GCGRA requirements.
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory environment and MLRO experience preferred.
• ACAMS or ICA Diploma is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as Deputy MLRO, review SAIRs and file SARs; serve as Secretary of the AML Compliance Committee.
• Provide strategic leadership to the Gaming Compliance department; set objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee AML/CFT obligations, controls, and governance to minimize AML/CTF risk.
• Direct investigation, analysis, and escalation of SAIRs; report to VP – International Gaming Compliance and MLRO.
• Oversee SAR filing with UAE FIU via goAML and notify FIU reference numbers.
• Oversee CDD/EDD, source of funds verification, and PEP risk scoring; approve risk-based decisions.
• Develop QA policies, procedures, and review standards for SARs and related investigations.
• Conduct QA testing to identify gaps and drive improvements; report findings to leadership.
• Prepare reports and metrics on QA results and enhancements for committees.
• Coordinate regular screening against SAIRs/SARs and monthly PEP checklists; support investigations.
• Lead examinations, internal audits, and independent testing of AML program; liaise with regulators.
• Respond to regulatory inquiries and support regulator requests; maintain professional relations.
