Qualifications

• 15+ years in the automotive industry, ideally with a major UAE/GCC group or OEM distributor.
• Proven track record in multi-brand P&L leadership (Director/GM/Head of BU) covering retail and aftersales.
• Strong record of delivering sales growth, market share gains, and margin improvement.
• Expert in retail operations, aftersales profitability, and customer experience management.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Master’s preferred (Business, Engineering, or related).

Responsibilities

• Own the UAE automotive P&L: revenue, gross profit, operating margin, and working capital across new cars, aftersales, fleet/leasing, and used vehicles.
• Set annual and multi-year business plans per brand, monitor performance and take corrective action to meet or exceed targets.
• Lead brand managers and showroom leaders to exceed sales, market share, and CSI targets for each OEM.
• Ensure brand standards in sales process, customer journey, facility presentation, and digital experience.
• Drive launch plans for new models and facelifts in coordination with OEM marketing and product teams.
• Oversee aftersales operations, parts business, and service capacity to maximize retention and profitability.

This role is for a leading UAE automotive group and authorized distributor for global brands.

They operate a network of showrooms and service centers across the UAE, covering new vehicle sales, aftersales, fleet & leasing, and used cars.

Role purpose

We are looking for a commercially driven Director – Automotive to own the performance of our automotive business in the UAE: delivering top-line growth, margin improvement, and best-in-class customer experience across all brands and channels.

You will lead brand teams, retail operations, and aftersales, while shaping strategy with OEM partners and the group’s executive leadership.

What you will do

Business performance & P&L ownership

• Own the UAE automotive P&L: revenue, gross profit, operating margin, and working capital across new cars, aftersales, fleet/leasing, and used vehicles.
• Set annual and multi-year business plans per brand, monitor performance and take corrective action to meet or exceed targets.

Retail & brand leadership

• Lead brand managers and showroom leaders to exceed sales, market share, and CSI targets for each OEM.
• Ensure brand standards in sales process, customer journey, facility presentation, and digital experience.

Aftersales, parts & customer retention

• Work closely with the fleet/leasing arm to grow corporate sales, government accounts, and key B2B partnerships.
• Align product mix and financing solutions with market demand

OEM & strategic partnerships

• Act as the primary senior interface with OEM regional offices; lead business reviews, target setting, and incentive negotiations.
• Shape long-term portfolio strategy with the executive team (new brands, digital retail, mobility services).

Operations, people & governance

• Build a high-performing leadership team across sales, aftersales, marketing, and operations; drive talent development and Emiratization goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all facilities.
• Use data and KPIs to drive decisions: monthly business reviews, pipeline governance, and performance dashboards.
