Job summary

MPH seeks a Digital Energy/Substation Automation Specialist Engineer in the UAE. The role requires hands-on SAS/SCADA, industrial networks, system integration, and site commissioning with willingness to travel.

The ideal candidate has 2–8 years in Substation Automation or related power/oil & gas projects, proficient with SAS/SCADA platforms (Schneider PACiS/EPAS, EPO, Siemens S7, ABB 800xA), and strong OT cybersecurity awareness. Travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation or a related discipline.
• 2–8 years of experience in Substation Automation, SCADA, Power Utility, Oil & Gas or Data Center projects.
• Experience with SAS/SCADA platforms such as Schneider Electric PACiS/EPAS, EcoStruxure Power Operation (EPO), C264 BCU or M580 PLC; Siemens SICAM PAS / S7 PLC, ABB MicroSCADA / 800xA or equivalent GE solutions.
• Network Equipment: Configuration and troubleshooting of ConneXium and Hirschmann switches.
• Field Devices: Energy Meters, IEDs, Protection Relays, RTUs.
• System Design, Engineering, Testing, Commissioning, and Troubleshooting of SAS/SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, test and commission Substation Automation Systems (SAS), SCADA and related automation solutions.
• Integrate and troubleshoot IEDs, protection relays, BCUs, RTUs, PLCs and energy meters.
• Work with industrial communication protocols and network architectures used in digital substations.
• Support load shedding, load sharing and Power Management Systems (PMS), including iFLS/iGMS where applicable.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial network switches and communication systems.
• Participate in FAT, SAT, site commissioning, troubleshooting and system validation.
• Support OT cybersecurity requirements and secure industrial automation deployments.
• Travel frequently for site execution and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, test and commission Substation Automation Systems (SAS), SCADA and related automation solutions.

• Gulf project experience and familiarity with site-access requirements.
