Job summary

Remote DXB is seeking a senior executive to lead the Dubai DIFC branch, overseeing wholesale banking, Islamic products, treasury, and capital markets growth. You will ensure DFSA compliance, manage multi-product portfolios, and act as the main liaison with regulatory authorities in the GCC region.

The candidate will drive strategic planning, budget oversight, and cross-functional leadership across multiple geographies, ensuring robust risk, governance, and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in building a business or franchise in the GCC/Middle East.
• Demonstrable knowledge of wholesale banking, capital markets, financial markets, and treasury products.
• Understanding of key DFSA rules and regulations pertaining to Category 4 branch.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
• Ability to manage complex projects involving multiple products and geographic groups.
• Prior experience in managing a similar office set-up with P&L responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Bank ABC (DIFC Branch) in accordance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee the development of Opex and Capex budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with DFSA's framework and applicable license category.
• Develop and implement the strategic plan for the DIFC Branch in collaboration with leadership.
• Manage and grow wholesale banking, including Islamic, treasury, and financial businesses.
• Act as the principal point of contact with the local regulator, DFSA.
• Responsible for the DIFC Branch P&L and credit worthiness of the portfolio.
• Hire, retain, and manage productive coverage, product, and support teams.
