National Plastic and Building Material Industries LLC in Abu Dhabi/Al Ain area seeks an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy vehicles and forklifts. The role includes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of diesel mechanic experience, with at least 5 years on trucks/trailers and 3 years on forklifts, plus strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Formación

• 10 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, including at least 5 years repairing trucks and trailers.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience repairing forklifts.
• High School diploma or equivalent; diesel mechanic training preferred.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read technical manuals and follow repair procedures.
• Valid driving license is an advantage.
• Candidate with relevant experience in Truck, Trailer and forklift repairing should apply.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, service/maintain and repair all company heavy vehicles and forklifts.
• Schedule and execute periodic maintenance of trucks, trailers and forklifts.
• Liaise with spare parts suppliers and garages to repair vehicles on time.
• Minimize lag time of vehicles under repair and reduce breakdown frequency.
• Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts and maintenance.
• Minimize maintenance cost of the vehicles.
• Ability to find problems and fix them; perform periodic maintenance.
• Operate with long hours when needed; apply good analytical skills.
• Thorough knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and related repairs.
• Communicate in Hindi/Urdu; reading/writing in English.

Descripción del empleo

• Candidate will be responsible for the inspection, service/maintenance and repair of all company heavy vehicles and Forklift.

• Need to schedule and execute the periodic maintenance of all trucks, trailers and Forklift.

• To liaison with the spare parts suppliers and garages ( in major problems) to repair these vehicles on time.

• Minimize the lagging time of vehicles under repair and to minimize frequency of break down time of these vehicles.

-Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs , parts and maintenance

• To minimize the maintenance cost of the vehicles.

  • Ability to find out the problems of Trucks, Trailers and Forklift Machines and to fix it.

  • Able to carry on the periodic maintenance of these vehicles and machines.

  • Capable to work long hours.

  • Good analytical and logical skills.

  • Thorough knowledge in Diesel engines, hydraulic engines and its repairing.

  • Communication skill in Hindi/Urdu, Reading and writing skills in English.

  • Candidate need to be hard working and proactive in nature.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 10 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, out of which

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in repairing of trucks and trailers.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Forklift repairing.

  • High School diploma or equivalent, Diesel Mechanic training preferred. Should have knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read technical manuals and follow repair procedures. Valid driving license is an advantage.
