Job summary

Discovered MENA in Sharjah is seeking a Cloud and DevOps Engineer to join a focused technology team, supporting a hybrid cloud setup and modern infrastructure.

You will manage Kubernetes, automate pipelines, monitor uptime, and work with security teams to apply access controls and compliance. This is a UAE-based, 1-year contract with immediate availability.

Qualifications

• Must have proven cloud admin experience and automation background.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes on AKS.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• IaC experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory and basic security practices.
• Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana monitoring.
• Banking/financial services sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor cloud environments with provisioning, scaling, and decommissioning.
• Set up Kubernetes clusters on AKS and manage deployments.
• Maintain uptime, performance, and workload stability.
• Identify performance issues and optimize resources.
• Monitor cloud spend and implement cost reductions.

We are hiring a Cloud and DevOps Engineer to join a focused technology team based in Sharjah. Our client is an established organisation modernising its core systems and advancing its hybrid cloud setup. Joining a close unit of fewer than 10 people in the infrastructure team, you will report directly to the Infrastructure Head and connect day to day IT operations with modern cloud practices.

• As a Cloud and DevOps Engineer, you will maintain cloud systems, automate pipelines, and ensure infrastructure remains stable, scalable, and secure
• You will manage Kubernetes clusters, oversee deployment pipelines, and support foundational infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, alongside Azure Active Directory
• Working alongside application and security teams, you will help build an efficient, modern technology environment
