Job summary

Aldar Academies seeks an experienced teacher to deliver science education in an international school setting in Abu Dhabi. The role requires delivering structured lessons, developing student outcomes, and maintaining engaging classrooms with inclusive practices.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification and at least 2 years of experience, including work with EAL students. Hybrid/Distance Learning may be involved.

Qualifications

• Experience in an international school setting.
• Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language (EAL).
• High level of professionalism and dedication to child welfare.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with parents in a diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons using syllabus materials and schemes of work to develop student skills in science.
• Create a positive, engaging learning environment with displays and resources.
• Plan, prepare, and present sessions to meet the needs of all ability levels.
• Motivate students with creative, challenging lessons that promote critical thinking.
• Be reflective about teaching, adjust planning and curriculum accordingly.
• Support SEN, EAL, and G&T students through differentiation.
• Facilitate Hybrid Distance Learning and Face to Face lessons.
• Follow policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and school duties.
