Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• 10–15 years of experience in multidisciplinary design projects.
• Experience in Lead Design Consultancy environments.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design projects from concept through IFC stages.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist consultants for integrated delivery.
• Develop and monitor design programmes, deliverables, and resource needs.
• Lead design coordination meetings, technical workshops and client presentations.
• Review submissions to ensure compliance with requirements, standards and authority regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, contractors and authorities on technical matters.
• Oversee submission approvals and change management within projects.
• Mentor discipline leads and project teams to ensure successful delivery.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the delivery of multidisciplinary design projects within our Lead Design Consultancy team. The role involves managing architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist disciplines across all project stages, ensuring coordinated, high-quality, and timely project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary design projects from concept through IFC stages.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist consultants to ensure integrated design delivery.
• Develop and monitor project design programmes, deliverables, and resource requirements.
• Lead design coordination meetings, technical workshops, and client presentations.
• Review and manage design submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and authority regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and authorities to resolve technical and design-related matters.
• Manage authority submissions and approval processes.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures to maintain programme objectives.
• Oversee design change management, RFIs, and multidisciplinary coordination activities.Mentor and support discipline leads and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in multidisciplinary design projects.
• Proven experience working within a Lead Design Consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of design management, project delivery, and multidisciplinary coordination processes.
• Experience delivering commercial, residential, mixed-use, hospitality, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience working on projects within the UAE or GCC region.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital project delivery processes.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery objectives.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams within a fast-paced consultancy environment.
