Job summary

Black Pearl Consult in Dubai seeks an experienced Design Engineering Team Leader to direct a design team through concept, design, development, testing and delivery. You will drive 3D CAD/CAE efforts, review specifications, and ensure projects meet strict technical requirements.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving capabilities, with hands-on Creo and Fusion 360 expertise to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Substantial experience in design engineering and 3D CAD/CAE.
• Advanced proficiency in Creo or Fusion 360, or comparable 3D design software.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, BOMs, product development, and technical documentation.
• Proven experience managing engineering projects and meeting deadlines.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or supervising an engineering team.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor engineering design projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with technical requirements.
• Develop 3D models, prototypes, dimensional drawings, installation drawings, and detailed documentation.
• Review customer specifications and translate requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Manage CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, calculations, and design parameters.
• Analyze design issues, identify root causes, implement solutions, and support testing and simulation.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations.
• Support tender proposals, product compliance documentation, cost proposals, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Liaise with internal departments, project teams, sales teams, suppliers, and customers on technical and design requirements.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, functionality, performance, and customer specs.
• Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior engineers.
• Monitor team performance and identify training and development requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within engineering.
• Ensure compliance with policies and confidentiality requirements.
