Job summary

Future Tense - Human Resource Solutions seeks a Design Department Head/Manager with 15+ years in UAE facade design for high-rise/commercial projects. You will direct the structural and architectural design department and supervise drafting teams to generate buildable shop drawings, structural calculations, and accurate fabrication data.

You will lead the facade package production (curtain walls, skylights, cladding), coordinate with main contractors and consultants for shop drawing approvals,

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering; expert in AutoCAD, Revit/3D-BIM and facade calculation software.
• Experience in the aluminium sector is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team in producing complete facade packages (curtain walls, skylights, cladding).
• Coordinate with main contractors and consultants to secure shop drawing approvals.
• Oversee thermal, wind load, and structural calculation reviews.
• Ensure accurate generation of cutting lists, glass schedules, and BOM to prevent production mismatches.
• Approval follow-ups on time and cost-related requests.

Min UAE Experience: 15+ years managing facade design teams for high-rise/commercial projects in UAE.

Job Purpose: Directs the structural and architectural design department, supervising drafting teams to generate buildable shop drawings, structural calculations, and accurate fabrication data.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team in producing complete facade packages (curtain walls, skylights, cladding).
• Coordinate with main contractors and consultants to secure shop drawing approvals.

• Ensure accurate generation of cutting lists, glass schedules, and BOM to prevent production mismatches.
