Design and Production Engineer

Job summary

LEV Tech in Dubai designs and manufactures metal structures and enclosures for data centers. We seek an experienced design engineer to own 3D design and drive production readiness.

You will model in SolidWorks, generate BOMs and cut lists, and prepare files for laser cutting and bending, while building a standard parts library. You will closely collaborate with the production team on the floor, ensuring designs are manufacturable and meet tolerances.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in design and production engineering.
• Strong SolidWorks skills, incl. sheet metal and large assemblies.
• Able to produce accurate bills of quantity and cut lists from a 3D model.
• Hands on experience with laser cutting nesting software and press brake programming.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication and finishing.
• Comfortable working alongside a production team on the floor.
• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering preferred. A diploma with 12 or more years of relevant hands on experience will also be considered
• UAE experience is a must
• Available to join at short notice

Responsibilities

• Support production on the floor, and visit sites to verify measurements where needed.

The role

You will model our products in SolidWorks, pull bills of quantity and cut lists straight from your models, and prepare the files that drive our laser cutting and bending machines. You will also help us build a standard parts library so new designs take a fraction of the time. This is a hands on role, working closely with the production team.
