Job summary

GAOGU Contracting LLC in the UAE is seeking an experienced Surveyor with strong hands-on experience in piling and foundation works to join our team. You will carry out surveying and setting-out activities for piling projects and ensure accuracy of coordinates, levels, and pile positions.

The ideal candidate has a diploma or bachelor's in surveying or civil engineering, at least five years in piling, and proficiency with Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Auto Level, and surveying software.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant surveying experience, preferably in piling and foundation projects.
• Proficiency in Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Auto Level, and surveying software.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and piling drawings.
• UAE/GCC piling project experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all surveying and setting-out activities for piling and foundation works.
• Establish and maintain site benchmarks, control points, coordinates, and reference levels.
• Conduct accurate setting-out of pile locations as per approved drawings and project requirements.
• Monitor and verify pile positions, coordinates, verticality, levels, and alignment.
• Carry out as-built surveys and prepare accurate survey reports and records.
• Coordinate with the project, engineering, QA/QC, and site teams to ensure accurate execution of piling works.
• Review survey drawings and coordinate with design and engineering teams regarding discrepancies.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Auto Level, and other relevant instruments.
• Ensure all survey measurements and records are accurate and properly documented.
• Assist with quantity measurements and progress verification when required.
• Identify and report any discrepancies in pile positioning, levels, or alignment to the concerned team.
• Ensure surveying activities are carried out in accordance with project specifications and safety requirements.
