Job summary

Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa, part of Marriott International, seeks a professional Lifeguard to supervise our aquatic facilities at the UAE resort. The role emphasizes safety, swift responses to emergencies, and high standards of guest service in a luxury setting.

The ideal candidate holds NPLQ/Lifeguard qualifications, fits the required fitness level, and can operate with good communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• English communication required

• Able to follow safety procedures and report hazards
• Well presented with clear speech
• Physically fit for lifesaving duties

Responsibilities

• Identify and report hazards and maintenance needs; report to Spa In charge
• Ensure pool water circulation and chemical levels per guidelines; report to health safety officer
• Daily pool cleaning and backwashing; monthly deep cleaning of pool gutters
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans
• Provide prompt, caring assistance to guests; anticipate needs to enhance satisfaction
• Attend departmental and hotel training to maintain service standards
• Maintain high fitness for timed RLSS pool swims; participate in rescue drills
• Complete monthly training targets and training records
• Provide first aid when needed and follow fire/health safety procedures
• Maintain lifeguard equipment; ensure safety and cleanliness at all times
• Respond to incidents within 20 seconds and work as a team to ensure equality and compliance
