Caravan by Our Habitas Hatta is seeking a skilled Butcher (Demi Chef de Partie) to join the culinary team in the UAE. You will ensure high standards in meat, poultry and seafood prep, portioning, and handling, while upholding food safety and waste reduction.

Ideal candidates are quality-focused, organised, and collaborative, with strong butchery skills and a passion for craftsmanship within a hospitality concept rooted in sustainability.

Qualifications

• Experience as a butcher or demi chef de partie in a professional kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of meat, poultry and seafood handling and cuts.
• Solid HACCP and food hygiene understanding.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, trim, cut, debone and portion meat, poultry and seafood according to recipes.
• Ensure quality, freshness and portioning before releasing to kitchen.
• Support mise en place and production across the kitchen.
• Receive, inspect and store meat, poultry and seafood per standards.
• Maintain portion control and monitor food waste.
• Keep the butchery area clean and hygienic.
• Follow HACCP and safety requirements, maintain equipment.
• Coordinate with chefs to meet service requirements.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory, share skills with juniors.
