Job summary

Caravan by Our Habitas Hatta is seeking a skilled Butcher (Demi Chef de Partie) to support the culinary team in the Hong Kong-style? no, in UAE. You will ensure high standards in meat, poultry and seafood prep, portioning and handling, working with the Chef de Partie and leadership team to uphold quality and responsible sourcing.

This role focuses on craftsmanship, waste reduction and collaboration within a passionate kitchen culture that reflects Our Habitas’ hospitality values.

Qualifications

• Butchery experience in a professional kitchen or hotel setting.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene and temperature control.
• Ability to work well in a team and support culinary leadership.
• Understanding of portion control, yields and waste reduction.
• Excellent organization and time management in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Good working knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, trim, cut, debone and portion meat, poultry and seafood.
• Ensure products meet quality, freshness, and presentation standards.
• Support mise en place and production across the kitchen.
• Receive, inspect and store meat, poultry and seafood deliveries.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the butchery area and equipment.
• Follow all HACCP and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to meet service needs.
• Share knowledge with junior colleagues and promote safety practices.
