Job summary

Southern Sun Abu Dhabi is seeking a Demi Chef De Partie - Pastry to join our culinary team. You will assist with preparation, production and presentation of pastries, desserts, breads and other bakery products to the required standards, following recipes and portion controls.

You will maintain high standards of food preparation, hygiene and cleanliness in the pastry kitchen, monitor stock levels, minimise wastage and support the Chef de Partie and Pastry Chef with smooth operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, production and presentation of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads and other bakery products to required standards.
• Follow recipes, portion controls and approved methods to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
• Maintain high standards of food preparation, hygiene and cleanliness in the pastry kitchen.
• Ensure ingredients, equipment and work areas are prepared and available for daily production.
• Support the Chef de Partie and Pastry Chef with smooth operation of the pastry section.
• Monitor stock levels, minimise wastage and ensure correct storage and rotation of ingredients.
• Comply with food safety, health and safety standards and hotel policies.
• Assist with buffet, banquet and à la carte pastry requirements, as well as events.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work as part of a team or individually to deliver high quality standards.
