Job summary

Sharjah Education Academy is seeking a dynamic Dean of Research to lead and shape the institution's research strategy and doctoral program development. The role is permanent, full-time, reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), and aims to elevate research quality and regional impact.

Ideal candidates will have UAE/GCC experience, bilingual Arabic/English, and a distinguished track record in education-related research leadership.

Qualifications

PhD in a relevant field with strong research track record.
Strategic thinking and ability to implement plans aligned with priorities.
Leadership experience guiding teams and setting direction.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy with diverse stakeholders.
Budget management and resource allocation experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead the Academy’s research strategy and plan.
Monitor and evaluate research quality across the Academy.
Lead research capability development and doctoral supervision programs.
Secure local and international research funding and partnerships.
Coordinate HDR programs, admissions, and capability building for staff and students.
Foster collaboration with industry, government, and external partners to drive research impact.
Align research initiatives with institutional planning and measure outcomes.
Represent the Academy on research-related committees and forums.
