About the Position:
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Data Specialist to join theresort’s Surveillanceteam.
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

- Proactivelymonitorcasino and point of sale transactions and activities to detect and prevent fraudulent behavior, including cheating,collusionand internal theft.
- Conduct thorough andtimelyreviews into suspicious activities,leveragingdata analytics, surveillance records, player histories, and transaction logs. Document findings, assemble evidence, and recommend actions for remediation.
- Work with key stakeholders. Facilitate information sharing and coordinate joint actions to disrupt or prevent fraudulent activity.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings, trends in fraudulent activities, and the effectiveness of internal controls/policies. Offer recommendations to improve protocols, systems, and staff training.
- Participatein the design, testing, and implementation of new analytics tools and fraud prevention techniques.
- Assistwith training sessions for Surveillance staff on fraud prevention and the proper use of reporting systems. Foster a culture of vigilance and ethical conduct.
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies in the gaming industry. Continuously refine analytical methods and processes.
- Monitor real-time gaming and point of sale data streams for suspicious patterns or irregular transactions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures andcomply withthe Code of Conduct.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Previousexperience investigating gaming and point of sale irregularities in a casino or similar environment is highly desirable.
- Exceptional observational skills and the capacity toidentifysubtle patterns, inconsistencies, or red flags within large datasets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to professionally read, write and speak English. Ability to present complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High standardsof personal integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Collaborative approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness and ability to learnnew technologies, research techniques, and regulatory practices as the industry evolves.
- Sound understanding of game protection principles.Mustunderstand all casino games and advantage play opportunities.
- Sound understanding of casino mathematics.
- Follow instructions and be able to work independently as well as perform in a team environment.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.
- 2 years of experience in casino surveillance with a solid understanding of how to use data to uncover fraud. *In lieu of casino experience, those that candemonstratea strong mathematical competency or have 3 years of prior experience in data evaluation as it applies to investigations will be considered.
- High School Diploma isrequired.
- Majorityof work will be done in an office environment. Occasionally this role will berequiredto work in public areas of the resort or outdoors.
- Ability to stand or sit for an entire shift.
- Mustbe able to watch monitors for an entire shift.
