Job summary

Confidential Company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Data Specialist responsible for governance, quality delivery, archival and lifecycle management of subsurface data across seismic, well, geological, geophysical, reservoir and drilling datasets.

The role requires a 12-month contract, UAE driving license, and the candidate will work between the ICAD and Reem Tower offices. Oil & Gas experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of subsurface data from acquisition to archival
• Ensure compliance with company data management policies industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintain data integrity quality consistency and accessibility across all subsurface repositories
• Develop and implement data management procedures workflows and best practices
• Coordinate and execute the delivery of subsurface data to customers and internal stakeholders
• Validate delivered datasets for completeness accuracy and compliance with defined standards
• Facilitate integration of data into corporate databases interpretation platforms and digital solutions
• Maintain records of data transfers deliveries and approvals
• Manage the archival of physical and digital subsurface data including seismic well geological geophysical reservoir production and drilling datasets
• Support retrieval and restoration of archived data when required

Job description

The Data Specialist is responsible for governance quality delivery archival and lifecycle management of subsurface data. The role ensures that all geological, geophysical, petrophysical, reservoir, drilling and related digital datasets are managed in accordance with corporate, industry and regulatory standards enabling reliable decision-making, operational efficiency and long-term preservation of critical subsurface information.
