Job summary

NMDC Dredging & Marine in Abu Dhabi is seeking a data processing technician to manage daily data functions and support ground improvement projects. You will build and maintain production databases, record timesheets, and assist engineers with data-driven analyses.

The role requires a Diploma in a related discipline and at least four years in a similar field, preferably with dredging or civil marine project exposure. You will work with cross-functional teams and ensure HSE compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role and industry.
• Preferably with experience in dredging and civil marine projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and handle data processing functions on a daily basis.
• Prepare databases based on daily production and update them with changes during project execution.
• Prepare and record all machinery and manpower timesheets.
• Prepare and maintain a database of all geotechnical data generated in a project.
• Assist engineering staff in carrying out routine analyses and calculations by compiling relevant data and performing required checks under the supervision of a geotechnical engineer.
• Assist in document control for the geotechnical engineering and ground improvement teams by maintaining and updating relevant registers.
• Work according to defined policies and procedures to ensure effective, efficient, and professional functioning of the ground improvement division.
• Provide accurate information to the Manager based on actual work performed, accidents/delays, and work forecasts aligned with site activities.
• Manage all communication between the ground improvement operations team and supporting departments.
• Develop Excel and other database sheets, and create technical codes for data processing.
• Comply with HSE requirements and procedures.
• Perform tasks beyond the scope of this role as required by operational needs.
• Resolve and troubleshoot problems affecting data processing functions.
• Interact with cross-functional teams to process and integrate related data.
• Process relevant informational data and forward it to appropriate personnel for approval.
• Initiate and implement best practices and standards in data processing functions.
