Senior Data Specialist

A Senior Data Specialist is responsible for overseeing the collection, processing and interpretation of data to inform business strategies and support operational needs. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their business needs, analysing complex datasets and delivering actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Client engagement and consultation. Work closely with clients to gather requirements, define project scopes and provide expert data solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to align project goals with client needs.
• Lead data management initiatives including data governance, data architecture and data quality improvement.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices and frameworks.
• Provide strategic guidance on data management, data governance and best practices.
• Experience with data security, privacy, regulations and compliance requirements in UAE.
• Utilize Business Process Management (BPM) methodologies to enhance data workflows and optimize operations.
• Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries and data lineage documentation.
• Monitor and enhance data security ensuring compliance with data protection regulations like GDPR and UAE data privacy laws.

Education Level and Career Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information technology or a related field.

Professional certifications related to data management, data science or business intelligence (Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)).
