Job summary

GDIT invites a senior IT operations leader to oversee data platforms, pipelines and AI/ML capabilities in a Dubai role. You will implement monitoring, incident response, and release processes while ensuring pipeline health against SLAs.

Collaboration with governance and engineering teams will operationalize data quality and metadata rules. You will drive automation using CI/CD, IaC and SRE practices, mentor Data Operations staff, and manage AWS cloud environments to ensure reliable data services

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT management focusing on data governance and modernization.
• Experience with big data cloud solution architecture and BI.
• Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK data governance framework and ITIL/ITSM.
• Proficient in automation using Python/PowerShell for operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for data platforms, pipelines, and AI/ML capabilities.
• Establish monitoring, incident response, and release procedures.
• Monitor availability against SLAs and perform root-cause analysis.
• Oversee ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and data lakes operational health.
• Support AWS cloud data platforms, including patching and env management.
• Collaborate to operationalize data quality rules and metadata.
• Promote CI/CD, IaC, and SRE best practices.
• Lead Data Operations personnel, assign priorities, and mentor the team.
