Job summary

GDIT is seeking a senior AI/ML engineering leader to architect end-to-end AI/ML and generative AI solutions. The role involves designing scalable, secure architectures for enterprise data and high-performance workloads, and developing production-ready AI systems using LLMs and workflow automation.

You will establish MLOps practices, manage cost optimization, and mentor engineers and data scientists while presenting complex AI concepts to executives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native data architectures and distributed data processing.
• Proven track record deploying Generative AI and LLM applications in production.
• Experience with modern ML/DL frameworks.
• Ability to work with large, regulated datasets in government or healthcare environments.
• Must be a US Person and able to obtain Tier 3 Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end AI/ML and generative AI solutions including data integration, model development, and deployment.
• Design scalable, secure, and governed AI/ML architectures for enterprise data management and high-performance workloads.
• Develop production-ready AI solutions using LLMs, intelligent search, and workflow automation.
• Establish MLOps, LLMOps, and ModelOps practices for CI/CD, experiment tracking, and cost optimization.
• Define responsible AI controls for privacy, PHI/PII handling, and bias risk assessment.
• Mentor engineers and data scientists and communicate complex AI concepts to executive leadership.
