Job summary

VPS Elite Human Resources Consultancies LLC in Dubai is seeking an experienced Data Modeler to design and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models across lakehouse environments, ensuring governance, traceability and alignment with business requirements for analytics and AI initiatives.

The role requires deep expertise in dimensional modeling (Kimball), Data Vault concepts, SQL proficiency and hands-on experience with Spark/Delta and cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks, Synapse).

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in Data Modelling across data warehouse, lakehouse or analytics programs.
Strong expertise in Conceptual, Logical & Physical Data Modelling.
Expert knowledge of Dimensional / Kimball Modelling.
Strong understanding of Data Vault, Canonical Models and Normalization.
Strong SQL skills.
Experience with Spark / Delta and cloud data platforms such as Azure / Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or Synapse.
Hands-on experience with modelling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, SqlDBM or equivalent.
Experience creating and maintaining Source-to-Target Mappings and Transformation Rules.
Strong understanding of Business Keys, Surrogate Keys, Referential Integrity, Historization & SCD.
Experience with Master & Reference Data Modelling.
Knowledge of Semantic Models, Power BI Data Models, Measures, Hierarchies & KPIs.
Experience publishing models and metadata to Microsoft Purview.
Strong understanding of Data Governance, Business Glossary & CDEs.
Knowledge of UAE PDPL, Dubai Data Law and DESC ISR.
Excellent English communication and documentation skills.
