Job summary

• Expert knowledge of Relational, Dimensional, Data Vault, Canonical and Semantic models
• Knowledge of Data Governance, metadata, lineage and data quality

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to own the end-to-end architecture of an enterprise data platform, covering data integration, lakehouse, governance, security and data consumption. The ideal candidate will ensure the platform is scalable, secure, cost-efficient, sovereign and AI-ready.

Mandatory to Have

• 10+ years of experience in Data Management / Data Engineering, with at least 5 years as a Data Architect on enterprise data platform programs
• Strong experience designing Cloud Data Platforms and Lakehouse / Medallion Architecture
• Hands-on experience with Azure / Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or Synapse
• Expert knowledge of Relational, Dimensional (Kimball), Data Vault, Canonical and Semantic Data Models
• Strong experience with Microsoft Purview – Catalog, Lineage, Classification & Data Quality
• Experience with Enterprise MDM platforms
• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory / Fabric Pipelines and batch, streaming, API & CDC integration patterns
• Strong understanding of Data Security, IAM, RBAC/ABAC, Encryption, Network Isolation and Data Residency
• Experience designing Bronze / Silver / Gold data layers
• Strong understanding of Data Governance, Metadata, Lineage, DQ and MDM
• Experience with Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and architecture governance
• Knowledge of UAE PDPL, Dubai Data Law and DESC ISR
• Strong understanding of DAMA-DMBOK2, TOGAF or equivalent architecture frameworks
• Excellent English communication, documentation and executive stakeholder-management skills

Preferred

• UAE Government / regulated-sector experience
• Experience designing AI-ready data platforms, feature stores, vector/search layers and governed data products
• Experience with FinOps, platform sizing, capacity planning and performance optimization
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert / Fabric Data Engineer / TOGAF / DAMA CDMP certification
