Bayut & dubizzle are iconic UAE brands within Dubizzle Group, serving millions of users across the seven emirates. The Data Engineer intern will participate in end-to-end data projects—from raw data integrations to data modelling and visualization in a cloud-based warehouse.

You will learn to build batch and real-time pipelines, work with product, tech, finance and marketing teams, and contribute to data products and dashboards using Amazon Redshift, Matillion ETL and Periscope Data.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of relational and dimensional data models.
• Knowledge of terminal operations and Linux workflows.
• Ability to communicate insights and findings to a non-technical audience.
• Good SQL skills across cloud data warehousing technologies (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Vertica).
• Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and curiosity; self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Handle raw data integrations with primary and third-party systems.
• Perform data warehouse modelling for operational and application data layers.
• Develop in Amazon Redshift.
• Write SQL as part of an agile team workflow.
• Design and implement ETL with Matillion ETL.
• Develop data products enabling data-driven features.
• Ensure data quality, system stability and security.
• Adhere to coding standards in SQL, Python, ETL design.
• Create data dashboards and visualisations with Periscope Data.
