Job summary

Bayut & dubizzle is offering a Data Engineer internship in Dubai. You will participate in end‑to‑end data lifecycle projects, from raw data integrations to data modelling, and build data products in a modern cloud data warehouse.

You will learn to work with batch and real‑time pipelines, collaborate with product, tech, finance and other teams, and contribute to data dashboards with a focus on usability and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required.
• Knowledge of relational and dimensional data models.
• Knowledge of Linux workflows and terminal operations.
• Ability to communicate insights to non-technical audiences.
• Strong SQL skills in cloud data warehousing environments.
• Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for learning.

Responsibilities

• Handle raw data integrations from primary and third‑party systems.
• Model data warehouse for operational and application layers.
• Develop in Amazon Redshift cluster.
• SQL development as part of an agile team.
• ETL design and implementation in Matillion ETL.
• Design data products enabling data‑driven features.
• Maintain data quality, stability and security.
• Adhere to coding standards in SQL, Python, ETL design.
• Create dashboards and visualisations in Periscope Data focusing on UX.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, finance and other departments.
• Contribute to a strong team culture at the cutting edge of big data.
