Job summary

Egis is building its data centre capability across the UAE and wider MESA region. We are seeking a Technical Director to lead the technical direction of that emerging practice - setting standards, leading major bids, and acting as our senior technical authority on mission-critical work.

Reporting to the Regional Director - MEP, this is a leadership role with real scope to shape a practice from the ground up, backed by the reach of a global consultancy.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in MEP engineering with data centre focus.
• Experience at Technical Director / Associate Director level.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) required.
• GCC/UAE track record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across data centre projects in the region.
• Define MEP/ELV design standards and delivery frameworks for mission-critical work.
• Lead technical input on major bids and proposals across the MESA region.
• Build and mentor a specialist data centre team within a 400+ strong MEP/ELV practice.
• Engage with clients, hyperscalers, EPCs, and authorities at Director level.
• Drive innovation across BIM, parametric design, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Represent Egis externally as the data centre practice establishes its market presence.
