eMinds seeks a data center operations specialist to support regional data centers with day-to-day operations and 24/7 technical support for colocation and hosting customers. The role covers monitoring, remote hands, fault diagnosis, and incident escalation across infrastructure.

Qualifications include a 3+ years background in data center ops, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and CCNA/Azure certifications preferred. On-site Dubai work is required with shift rotations.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in data center operations, technical support, colocation or hosting.
• Hands-on experience with remote hands, patching, fiber connectivity, cross-connects and troubleshooting infrastructure.
• Willingness to work shifts in a 24/7 environment.
• CCNA and Microsoft Azure certifications preferred.

Job Purpose

Support the day-to-day operations of regional data centers and deliver reliable, round-the-clock technical support to colocation and hosting customers. Monitor services, provide onsite and remote hands support, troubleshoot hosted infrastructure, and ensure compliance with operational, installation quality, security, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 operational and technical support to data center customers, including participation in shift coverage.
• Monitor data center services, identify abnormalities, and promptly report or escalation incidents to the relevant teams and management.
• Deliver basic and advanced remote hands services to customers, partners, and internal departments.
• Assist customers with fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of their hosted equipment and infrastructure.
• Handle technical requests received through email, telephone, and online portals, maintaining ownership and follow-up until closure.
• Perform network cable patching, including UTP connections between customer racks and central patch panels, fiber interconnections, and data center cross-connect services.
• Inspect installation activities performed by customers, vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure compliance with installation quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other data center support team members.
• Support the implementation and improvement of operating procedures, standards, and guidelines for reliable data center and hosting services.
• Maintain accurate equipment inventories, installation records, support tickets, and operational documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, physical security requirements, and health and safety procedures.
• Escalate major activities, customer violations, emergencies, hazardous conditions, and planned or unplanned outages to the onsite supervisor and management.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve internal and external customer queries.
• Maintain adequate stock of cables, consumables, and other logistics items required for customer support.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in data center operations, technical support, colocation, or hosting services.
• Hands-on experience with remote hands support, network patching, fiber connectivity, cross-connects, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of installation quality standards, data center operating procedures, information security, and safety requirements.
• Strong customer service, communication, documentation, and incident escalation skills.
• Willingness to work shifts in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Preferred certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and a relevant Microsoft Azure certification.
