Job summary

Amazon Data Services Emirates LLC - Dubai Branch in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer to operate and maintain electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including UPSs, generators, chillers, HVAC, and fire/life safety systems, following safety and reliability standards.

You will troubleshoot facility events, perform root cause analyses, and support continuous improvements while working 4 days on 12-hour shifts with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or similar technical focus
• Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls)
• 2+ years of data center engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Follow safety standards and foster a world-class safety culture within the facility.
• Support electrical and mechanical equipment including UPS, switchgear, circuit breakers, ATS, diesel generators, chillers, HVAC, exhaust fans, VFDs, and transformers.
• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical, emergency generator, HVAC and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities.
