Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer to join our expanding DC Cloud regions. You will operate and maintain world-class mechanical and electrical infrastructure and oversee facility operations, ensuring safety and efficient uptime for customers.

You will work on electrical and mechanical equipment including UPS, switchgear, generators, chillers, HVAC, and fire/life-safety systems, and you will participate in on-site supervision and 24/7 on-call

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or similar technical focus.
• 2+ years of data center engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow and maintain the highest safety standards.
• Operate and maintain UPS, switchgear, circuit breakers, ATS, diesel generators, chillers, HVAC, exhaust fans, VFDs and transformers.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities.
